Chairman of the Board

Meech Gold was raised throughout the Washington DC metropolitan area.
Split between two homes he was exposed to and influenced by a very
eclectic variety of cultures. Meech remembers the keen difference in
both households was the music. His father 12 years the elder of his
mother, listened to the likes of Otis Redding, Same Cooke, and
Parliament. While his mother enjoyed a lot of these artists she was
younger and more influenced by the hip-hop culture and artists like
Tupac Shakur, Bone-Thugs n Harmony, Biggie Smalls and Mary J Blige. In
high school Meech would continue to be musically inclined, though
sports, spcifically football were at te top of his priority list.. He
would eventually join a go-go band with friends called Abduction Band.
He sang, and usually wrote a lot of the hooks the other band members
would use. After a few semesters of college at Alfred University,
Meech decided to move back home and pursue music full-time under the
guidance of the Basshedz production team, who at that timed managed
local artist Fat Trel. While interning for The Basshedz he was able
to successfully help Fat Trel get signed to The Board Administration,
it was soon after that moment Meech realized that he wanted to
incorporate his passion for music with his need to motivate people.
Meech moved to New York in March 2010, where he met Kelly Mac. The two
instantly clicked musically. He then explained to Kelly that he wanted
to start an independent record label and that he had another friend he
wanted her to meet. That friend was none other than Charisse Ford,
whom he currently manages. He sat the two down it what has been
referred to as “the grindhouse” and explained his vision and what his
“Live in the Moment” lifestyle was all about. Meech recalls telling
the ladies that not only did he want them, but needed the them to be
apart of this movement. The three of them talked for hours about what
would need to be done in order for everyone’s personal goals to be
met, without compromising the greater good of the team. This vision
along with the likes of Kelly Mac, and her friend from college DJ
KenNY2000XL as well as Charisse Ford to form what is know today as
Destined For Greatness Music Group. Meech Gold currently serves as
manager, producer, & songwriter for SUPERLATIVe, as well the CEO of
Destined For Greatness Music Group.

I gotta admit I was a little let down by this Good Music remix the verses we’re cool but as a artist (producers are artist too www.dfgmusic.com for proof) I just feel like its my song and you as a feature should be forced to come down to my level in order to create a successful remix. And I don’t mean down as in Kanye or any other artist is superior to Keef but that song had a #ratchteness about thats gone. One thing is for sure Chief Keef is riding high right now. The original producer on the other hand is tryna get his 15 min for damn sure. In a recent interview Young Chop had this to say
“He didn’t sit at the table and make that beat, he just coulda asked me. He changed what I put my time into. I made it the way how I made it.”

SO… here goes nothing.

I’m going to ATTEMPT to post on this damn forum daily. Scratch that. Im going to post on this forum daily. I have been doing some self-reflection as of lately, those of you who know me know that this occurs regularly, and what I have come to find is that I’m perfectly NORMAL. Sure I’m a bit inconsistent when it comes to social media, sure I sould probably workout daily *sidenote- Im currently 215lbs, a few more and James Avery will replace Sinbad as the #1 joan against me*, I probably could eat healthier, and I def need to start reading more because my vocabulary is shot to hell. But the harsh reality is I DON’T, not to be confused with Chief Keef[-_-  for spelling Keith that way],  in all seriousness I believe that this is the first step admitting that something is a problem. Step 1 complete. What’s next tho? I think this is why addicts and convicts fall back into their unhealthy lifestyles, because when they quit or are released they don’t have a plan. So I’m going to make it a point to have one. Currently, Im sitting in my room listening to Pharell’s radio on Last.fm, looking at my dry erase board full of shyt from Feb -_-, and in about 2 min I’m going to have to go into the dungeon that is my bldg’s supers’ apt to finish washing/drying clothes. Cant complain tho saved $15. When I get back however I’m going to begin this LIFESTYLE change. I’m going to challenge myself to work harder than I ever have before and I’m doing for one reason and one reason only… ME

#Consignment. Jada has always been one of nicest to me. It definitely sounds like he pushed the envelope sonically. Not sure how I feel yet. Its say to say he’s been influenced by the South’s uprising and has been able to remain regarded one of the most respected emcees but at this point in Jada’s career Im lookin for a classic album. One that makes sense of his oversaturated “Top 5 Dead or Alive” bars, but also one that solidifies is place in Hip-hop Royalty. In any event def enjoy this mixtape and never take anything on consignment!
